Default long tube headers or stick with short tube?

i found a pair of mac long tubes pretty cheap...i am currently running mac short tubes. Will i get more power and sound out of the long tubes?

They can be a pain to install. I would probably look elsewhere myself personally if it was not a full-time race car.

It's a street car...wasn't sure if long tubes were worth it. I want new headers...I have Mac now but want something better. What do you suggest?

Better as in what? looks? unless its a design change or diameter change leave it alone, long tubes suck ***** unless you REALLY need them!

I agree about the long tubes being a pain. Personally, if you're looking for sound change and flow increase, I'd start with the midpipe and catback. For the midpipe, either high-flow cats (if u get tailpipe emissions tests) or off-road.

Just installed a BBK high-flow h-pipe today and I'm loving the sound change and it seems like I can feel an increase in performance.

I already have an o/r h-pipe and bassani stainless exhaust. Just wasn't sure if some headers were better than others....I will stick with my Mac shortys for now

YES! Get the MAC long tubes. the shorties are doing nothing for you.

I don't see a need. I know a guy making over 700hp with short tubes. I personally do not like the sound unless you have the power to back it up.
