Default Procharger

i was wonder if 10psi would be safe on a 96gt with a procharger intercooled. also will i need higher than 91-93 octane .

Yes you'll need higher octane. What fuel and ignition setup are you runnin?

well i was looking into buying a kit and i was wondering if 10psi was too much or what? with 8psi i could run on pump gas right?

oh man I'm sorry I read your first post wrong. You'll still be able to use pump at 10 psi. I'm sorry I read it as "will I have to go from 89 to 93" My bad.

93 octane would be fine. Do you have any other upgrades or is this going to be your first mod?

i have exhast and that is about it. but do you know if i go with a 10psi set upwill that be safe on the crank below the 425hp limit

Yeah that should be no problem. I definately would see about an upgraded ignition system and make sure the procharger comes with a fuel management system of some sort. If not look into getting one of those as well. Detonation is not your friend.

when you get it tuned, they'll tell you what octane you gotta use. which is usually 91+.
