My set up has an intercooler. So there is a lot of plumbing between the head unit and the t/b. Is there anywhere else the meth can be injected. I would think it would defeat the purpose of the meth being injected so far from the t/b.

if you have any intercooler, youll want the snow kit so that you can spray right infront of the tb.

as far as spraying the meth at the sc far from the tb goes, it doesnt seem to make a difference because the hp numbers from both kits are equally impressive. the reason the air is hot in the first place is the sc. if you cool it down, it doesnt really matter where because the meth will keep it cool as the air travels. the heat sorce (the sc) is already passed so the air wont get hot again. thats like saying that an intercooler is pointless if its not right next to the tb. an inter cooler chills the air and that air stays cold as it travels from the bumper area all the way into the cylinders

Good point thanks. I think the freeze kit is considerably lower in cost which is why I was inquiring about it. This is somethin' I've been contemplating on for over a year now!LOL It's not so much the money, it's the first hand knowledge from the ppl that already have them. I just haven't had that much exposure to them. Thanks for the link too!!

Oh and my biggest problem now is there is absolutly no more room for anything under my hood. The tank would have to be trunk mounted. Not sure how that would work w/ the freeze kit but I know it won't be w/ the snow kit.

engine space is a premium when you start adding parts. the mr. freeze kit MUST be mounted lower then the sc or more accurately, the tank must be below the injection nozzle. do to the laws of gravity and the fact that liquid finds the lowest point. if the tank is up hi, the methanol will flow out as it pleases. i have my tank mounted next to my ps pump. in your case, id probably go with the snow kit since you have an innercooler. as far as room for the tank goes, just use the window washer fluid tank. its already there in the fenderwell. simply hook the pump to the bottom of the washer tank where the washer fluid would come out. wont take up any more room and no one will know you even have methanol. i dont have any real world experience with the snow kit since i dont have one but i did spend a lot of time on the snow forum learning about methanol tuning and its effects before i installed my kit
for me it was the money that made my choice. didnt have much money at the time and the mr. freeze is much cheaper. checked ebay and the snow kits werent any cheaper there then they were on the snow web site. searched for the mr. freeze kit and found one that was brand new, never used and still in the box that afm used to send it to the guy. got it for half price. just couldnt pass that deal up.

and after reading the afm article, i noticed that even with the pms, you can program the computer to richen the afr and lower timing when intake air temp goes up (i.e. when meth runs out). if the pms can do it, any dyno tuner can do it as well

The washer bottle is out of the car do to the intercooler plumbing. I've also checked e-bay and found the same as you. Not much discount on the snows. Looks like I have to bite the bullet as far as that goes.

Thanks for the input!!

Don't forget methanol has a tendency to eat aluminum. If you have aluminum heads, it is not really recommended. Iso-propanol will not hurt aluminum, however. Same with dry gas additives....ONLY use the iso-propanol versions and not the methanol variety additives.

you wouldn't have to mount any tank in the engine bay. just tap your windshield washer tank in there now and use that. the lady i talked to at snow perf said most people do that anyway, as it is a bigger tank than the one that comes with the kits.

i have a coolingmist kit which is very similar to the snow kit. personally i don't like how mr. freeze spays before the compressor on a street car because it can warp the impellar blades over time. if you spray after the sc/turbo the water/methanol will be fully atomized by the time it reaches the motor. check out this link....

No resivour, the intercooler plumbing took care of that. There is vertually no more room under hood for anything!!![:@]
