i have a coolingmist kit which is very similar to the snow kit. personally i don't like how mr. freeze spays before the compressor on a street car because it can warp the impellar blades over time. if you spray after the sc/turbo the water/methanol will be fully atomized by the time it reaches the motor. check out this link....

Awesome, thanks for the link!!!

No resivour, the intercooler plumbing took care of that. There is vertually no more room under hood for anything!!![:@]
i have the pump and reservoir in my trunk. the only things under my hood are the boost switch(1"), the clogged nozzle detectors (2 of them), the brass checkvalve (3"), and obviously the injectors. you cannot see any of this since it comes under the car and through the fender well to the injectors (right after my intercooler). i have 3 leds in the car (1 tells me its spraying, other 2 will stay on if a nozzle is clogged). i have my battery in the trunk so it was actually easier to do it this way, but it also keeps the w/m away from the heat of the engine bay and could help for lower temps / power. if i can ever get my hands on a digital camera i'll snap some pictures

The pump doesn't have a problem getting the Mix from the trunk to the engine bay? Thought it might lose some of the effect amount/power wise of mist.

only the first time you prime it....then its always at the checkvalve which is 8" from the injectors. and a 150psi pump is no joke....you should see the thing spray/mist, especially at my power level (big nozzles). like i said in theory you should gain a small amount of power having it in the trunk bc the liquid stays colder. not enough power that i would've done it if my battery wasn't already in the trunk though.

Well I already transferred battery to the back too. But I have a hatch. Might be a little different mounting a resevoir and pump back there. Does the pump make any noise?

Yeah and does it run continuosly when the car is on or just when boost calls for it?

it wouldn't be any different mounting the pump/reservoir in the hatch. its easiest to run the hose/wire out where the filler neck is and under the car. it does make a little noise, but not loud or annoying. my fuel pump is so loud you can't hear it...not to mention the exhaust (usually your wot when it turns on). it only turns on at a set psi. the boost switch basically grounds the relay at the set psi which turns on the pump.

i think what he means is that, is it legal to have a tank of methanol in your hatch.. thats how its different from a notch since if it was in the hatch its basically in the car with you. might as well be in your lap
