you have a single exhaust system, with only 1 cat. the side exhaust is safe, MM&FF did an article on the install of a new side kit, and it worked great, no problems. your stock muffler is probably around 18" long, any aftermarket muffler will obviously be smaller.</P>

Hey, what's up? I live at Cambridge right now... you probably know right where that is... and if not... look for the Sears on Mercury

1. are the glasspacks too loud? (>95db)</P>
2. are you sure it only has 1 cat? my bird had 2.... and it was a v6</P>

1. It will be at least 95db</P>
2. I believe it has 2 cats..Ford usually double cats all exhaust systems.</P>
