17" tire suggestions?
ok, did some searching and not finding the info i need so i'll ask here. i have the stock 17" bullits and i'm looking to replace the pzero neros because they just don't grip enough for me. i'm not a tire guy at all so i was hoping some of you could offer up some replacement suggestions (price isn't really an issue but i'm not gonna get crazy). i live in lousiana so something that handles wet/dry nicely is a plus, but winter is no issue.
also, trying to find what range of tire sizes will fit on the 17" rims, seems the tire websites will always just offer up exact matches for the stock size you have when you enter in your specific vehicle. how wide and how tall can i safely put on keeping in mind i intend to lower the car someday? the stock tires are 235/55/17.

RE: 17" tire suggestions?
I still have the Perelli's, however, I was looking to change rims and tires as well. I talked to a few people who go to the track and different events and the Cooper Zeon ZPT's were popular with them. They said it was a great tire and a good price. Of course, you can always go with the high dollar performance tires we normally see, but I figured you would already have a line on those.

RE: 17" tire suggestions?
well the biggest problem i'm having is finding a tire that fits. seems the choices are limited for the stock bullit 17x8 (correct me if i'm wrong on that size), and i'm trying to find what range of tires will fit instead of just going by the exact stock tire size. i'll probably just walk into a tire shop since i'm going to the city this weekend anyway.
maybe my best bet is to go with new tires and rims then the choices will be more clear but that much money will put it further down the priority list of things i'm modding. plus i read that there's something different about cars that come with 17" and 18" stock wheels, can't remember exactly what it was, i'll have to search for it again but i'm not sure if it's something i should be worried about. obviously i'm not too confident in the wheel category....
