So I had my new rims and tires put onto my 2006 V-6 stang, but now the steering wheel shakes when I drive, is this normal going from the factory rims and tires to 18" rims and high performance tires?...It doesn't seem to do it all of the time, but is consistent enough to def be noticable...The rims I have are the 18x9 Shelby Razors by American Racing
Thanks
Probably not. The alignment is usually if you have an accident or hit a curb really hard and screw up the wheels. Most likely a balance will do the trick. If not, you might have to look into an alignment, but it's unlikely. Just get them balanced and take it from there. (Alignments are usually a little pricey anyway, so don't rush off for that just yet)
when i got a flat tire and then had a new tire put on i had the exact same problem that you are describing...went in and had them all balanced together and the problem was fixed..only cost 15 bucks at my shop.
