Default Lowering Question

I have an 06 pony package and I'm looking to buy a set of springs.

Does it matter that the pony package has some GT suspension parts? i.e. thicker sway bar

I would be fine just getting an 06 v-6 set of springs, correct?

Also, anyone know shops in SoCal that can do this type of thing? I usually am a D-I-Y type of guy but springs are beyond my ability.

Springs are pretty standard amongst our cars, not many make a V6 or Gt specific kit. Most are for both. I got my springs from Hotpart.com and ordered Vogtland (which make a v6 or gt kit...go figure) $200 shipped. Most go with Eibach which give about 1.3 inch drop all around. Still have to get an alignment.
There are many DIY guys around here check out Tacobills hotlinks for help, man springs are very very very easy, took about 3 hours and I did some other things while doing it. you can rent a spring compressor, and do it youself in an afternoon. Do some searchs much help to show you what to do. Save the $250 on istall and splurg on some other mods. See my sig for the Vogtland drop. GOOD LUCK any questions PM me.

Thanks a ton.

I will definatly take your advice, alignment isn't pricey and the springs are pretty inexpensive so it's totally worth it.
