Honestly,

This is what I would do:

Nitto 555s 255/50/17

They will fit your stock 17x8 rims perfectly, same stock diameter tire.

Cost is less than $150 per tire from discount tire direct

Far and away the best tire for the money

275 40 17 nitto 555R Drag Radials.
best for the money, will actually grab in the rain, unlike any other dr, and mine lasted 8500, just to the indicators, and would have gotten roughly 15-20k out of them

If money is the Prime concern, you might look at Riken Raptorsand Nexen N3000. Not bad tires at all, and really cheap.
