6 point harness with stock seats
Here is an interesting thread which includes information on installing a 5 or 6 point harness with stock seats http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=719812
Has anyone here done this or something similar?

RE: 6 point harness with stock seats
That thread was posted by someone that doesn't know what they are talking about.
First of all, a scrutinizing NASA tech official will not allow a street seat with racing harnesess (even with a harness bar, which is a joke) because the ccr's don't allow it. In the past it was often overlooked but recently that changed. Some of the smaller open-track groups may allow it, but that is because most of them do lots of things that are unsafe.
Second, banking your safety on the shear load of those bolts in an impact is a dicey move at best. A street-type seat can fail easily in an impact, leaving that harness bar to keep you from ending up in the back seat - no thanks. Racing harnesess that aren't attached to a proper rollbar/cage are a bad idea.
Third, the poster says you need 18x9.5 wheels in a 45mm offset. No you don't. Here's one of the secrets of why my car is so fast - I run 275's with 30mm offset. They clear just fine. No rubbing at all - lock to lock. Do the math - that widens my track considerably. I also run 17's. You do NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT need a big brake kit. Perhaps the poster has shopped for race tires since his post. 18" race tires are typically $100 more EACH than the same size tires in 17". Clearly he has more income than most of us.
The one thing he said that does make sense is track time. NOTHING makes you faster than seat time.
The adjustable brake pedal thing - please.
