Default Newb Handing Question

Hey everyone,

I a current owner of a FOCUS SVT. Now im looking for a Mustang GT and doing some basic work to it..

For handling? If i wanted to be able to power through the turns as well as off a line or highway... what would you guys get for all around suspension?

I was thinking to get a Torsen LSD... then get spirngs/shocks/sways/strut/etc. Or should coilovers be just as good?

If so, what set of what would you get?

Thanks everyone!

You can't go wrong with a full Griggs GR-40 suspension system, like me [sm=wootwoot.gif]. Igobbleup twisties like Kobayashi at a hot dog eating contest

Lots of different suspensionsystems/components out there. Ask this question over at Performance & Handling sectionof MF's. You will find F1 and several others are VERY knowledgable on suspension. You will getVERY specific answers, so be specific on your wants/needs.

EDIT: OOPS! You ARE in the Performance & Handling section. Jazzer better stary payin' attention to what section he's in.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

Note: Griggs is very racing oriented. I know there are folks usingGriggs stuff onthe street but their focus is the race track. They are VERY expensive and, if you are asking these questions, then their parts are way more than you need.

I suspect the reason more people are not contributing to this post is because the questions you are asking have been asked ad naseum over the past several months. You should either search, go backwards in the posts or read the following thread in its entirety - it will answer just about every question ever in regards to the S197 suspension: https://mustangforums.com/m_934501/tm.htm
