Default Panhard Bar

Looking at getting this and the brace:

What exactly does this do for me? Will it help getting better 60' times and launching the car? I am not lowered right now but it's not off the table for the future. Assuming the car is left at stock height is this even worth getting?

It would improve handling, but I seriously doubt it would help straight line performance, all it does is keep the axle from moving side to side. If your not lowered, then I wouldn't get it, if you are planning on lowering, then you can get it, although you might not even need it, depends how much you lower your car.

Ditto the above comment.

The 1/4 mile folks will probably comment as well but here is a link that offers some useful information on mods that might help http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/LCA%20_adj.htm

Thanks I just got LCAs installed and have read that cherod.com article. Doesn't say much about panhard bars though.

if you are planning to lower your car in the future, I would hold off on getting it or installing it until then. depending on how low you go, will determine on how you adjust everything.

I have the BMR adjustable panhard bar and I honestly can't tell a difference in the car, except for being able to align the rear end back up after lowering it.

So as far as straight line performance suspension mods. LCAs. UCA. Is that pretty much it?

I'm not sure it that is it, but from hearing others on here, those will definitely help.

Well he is trying to learn, which is how most of us know what we know, and i commend him for that. He is not just goin to a speed shop, slapping down some cash, and saying make my car better. If every question on here got an answer like yours this site would fall a part. I know you've asked questions on here before and pretty sure you never got an answer of "Well since you dont know then you probably shouldnt worry about it" and if you did get an answer like that was it useful? No offense bro, just try to help him or go on your merry way.
