The KDW2's are a great choice. I'd also maybe look into the Nitto Invo's. I have the Nitto NT555's and love them, but the Invo is their next step up. Other than those, I would throw some Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars into the mix since Tire Rack has 285/40/18's and 255/45/18's on sale for $172 and $136 respectively; they're usually around $300 a tire and are the tires that come on the GT500KR. You might also consider the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD instead of the KDW's if it isn't going to see water. The KD is supposed to be a maximum dry performance tire (hence the D instead of DW which would be dry/wet).
