Default Eibach Pro Kit Springs

Ill be honest, i mainly just want the appearance. I dont really ever plan on racing my car or anything but there are a few roads where id like to take the turns harder. CDC has these http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...t_detail&p=119 for 175$. How much does it actually drop the car? anyone know what the ride will be like after there on? And do I need anything else like shocks / struts or anything like that if i lower it?
I know absolutely nothing about suspension ha. anything about suspension i need to know, feel free to fill me in
oh and whats the cost going to be around to get them installed?

Not sure how they'll do on your S197, but I installed a`set on my '03. Was hoping for a good lowering stance without dropping too much... well it didnt drop much. As a matter of fact, after install was exactly same ride height as before but handling felt noticeably better. After some driving and settling, I am now noticing it's a bit lower, but not much (no where near the claimed 1.5") At best maybe .5"... Handling has also gone back to feeling more "stock". I personally would not recommend them.

Eibach Pro with 18in rims and 255/40 tires. You should also get new shocks, the oems are not ideal for the stiffer springs. I swapped everything myself, its pretty easy. Shouldn't cost to much for a shop to do it. Get an alignment afterwards.

Here is a thread that shows how the springs compare in drop and spring rate

https://mustangforums.com/forum/s197...g-allowed.html

Here are Taco BIll's write ups which cover front and rear spring installations and camber settings and a whole lot of other things.

I've got the pro-kit on my vert. I didn't change the shocks/struts or anything else.

It rides pretty smooth and looks like it lowered a little over an inch all around.

Here are some pics..

The ride is a little bit stiffer now, but not by much. Personally I like it a lot.

Well then you should save your thoughts for your section. The Eibach Pro springs give the S197 an immediate drop, noticeable right away.

The most correct way to do a drop of course is new shocks, alignment and a new panhard bar to readjust the rear since it will push out to the driver side after the drop.

You can get away with just an alignment. Two ways, you can buy the bolts and bring them in and get ripped off the $30 or just pay $5 for bolts at the shop that does the alignment.

if you're considering lowering the stance of your Mustang, you'll like the Eibach Pro-Kit. as far as cost to install & align, you'll probably be better off calling around getting some quotes, but most shops should be pretty much in line with one another. the rears are very easy, while the fronts require alittle more attention. you're probably looking at somewhere around $200-$300 for the spring replacement (just a guess) and around $69-$79 for an alignment.
