Default looking for some help from you guys please

ok so i was going to pay a shop to lower my car but they want 300$ to do it so i am going to do it myself with the schucks down the street's spring compressor and help from you guys. i know there was an entire thread with pictures and a write up on someone who did this to their car... but i cant find it... can you guys help me find it, and give me some heads up or tips before i dive into it this weekend.... thank you

how much you lower it and what you intend to do with the car will dictate what lowering parts will be needed. Don't just throw parts at it without some forethought. A 1-1.25" drop won't take more than springs and maybe an adj track bar. Over that you'll need to think about camber plates or at least bolts for the front. And adjusting the pinion angle in back.

Some springs retain the factory ride, which is fine for a street car. But if you want to get aggressive on the track on track days you may be unhappy with stock spring rates.

I'd do as much research as I could for where you plan on using your car. Just 'lowered' doesn't necessarily mean fast around the track.

Form a game plan, then collect parts for what you want. Strano does a good job of giving advice for true track cars, he has the knowledge and experience.
