Default wheel/strut/brake caliper clearances???

is there a recommended minimum amount of clearance between the front strut and the rim/tire? is there a recommended minimum amount of clearance between the front brake calipers and the wheel spokes?

here is why i ask. i have american racing 9" deep dish rims with nitto 255's on the front and american racing 10" deep dish rims with nitto 285's on the rear. since the car was up on jack stands, i decided to check out the fitment of the 10" wheels/tires on the front. the measurements that follow were eyeballed as i had no way of obtaining accurate measurements:

between brake caliper and 10"wheel spoke--1/16" at most. (on the 9" wheels the distance was about 1/8" to 3/16" )

between rim/tire and front strut--1/8" to 3/16". (on the 9' wheels, probably around 1")

are these measurements a bit too small for safely motoring around? thanks!
