Default Lowering questions on 06 GT Vert

I want to lower my car with the Steeda kit, that will go about 1 inch in the front and 1.25 in the rear. Will I have to get a ajustable panhard bar, is it 100% must have or just an nice to have. I am asking because I have been told they are noisey and rattle alot and don't really want that.

Mine was off about 3/8inch after installing Roush rears, so it definitely varies by car. I would just install the springs and then check to see if it is needed.

I used the Steeda Sports, and had an adjustable panhard already; panhards should not rattle unless they are junk or not installed properly...or hit the exhaust, which is more likely!

But you're only doing a mild lowering, and no you dont have to have one, but it will bring the rear back under the car properly. The 1/4-3/8" it'll be offset won't be that noticeable. And you can always put one on later if you want to.

And plan on camber bolts or caster/camber plates for the front. Even lowering 1" will throw the camber to close to or out of spec (to about -1.5*).

I just did all of this....06 mustang, just lowered, used Koni (adjustable) shocks, Elbach Pro springs (1" in front drop and 1 1/4" for rear), BMR Adjustable panhard bar, and the heavy duty Steeda upper camber plates...

I needed the panhard bar. My car was off around 3/4". I bought the camber bolts, but ended up buying the camber plates since I was worried about not enough possible adjustment. If you are even remotely considering shocks, I'd do them while you have the front end apart. I would hate to have had to go back later and do it when I'd already had it apart.

I'm extremely happy with the results:

Hope that might help. I pretty much just did last week what you are talking about doing shortly. I'm totally satisfied.
