Default saleen suspension pack

ok i have a 05 gt with close to 60k miles on it. I want it lowered and figured with this mileage i should go ahead and do shock and struts so thats why im getting the saleen suspension pack to replace all of it at once....i need opinions on if this is necessary at this mileage or if i could get away with just buying some eibach lowrering springs. Also, if i do go with all the saleen parts...how long will that stuff last, like do i need to replace the shocks/struts again in a couple of years or will it last a good amount of the car. I've never lowered any of my vehicles before so any advice would be much appreciated.

That Saleen kit is designed as a OEM setup for there Saleen production cars. I would think that it would have very good longevity and be a great choice. You probably could have gotten away with just springs, but then again, its always better to have the struts designed to work with your ride height and spring rate.

I just had the saleen suspension pack installed late last month and I really like the ride quality, it's a definite improvement over stock. I think you'll be wanting an adjustable pan hard bar in addition to the kit to keep things centered and you will need an alignment after the install. The kit didn't lower my mustang a ridiculous amount so if you are looking for something that is slammed to the ground look elsewhere. It did lower it around an inch but it also evened the rear out with the front. Looks great IMO.
