Default Tires

what size tires can be put under the S197 I have the 235/55R17 Pirelli's now on my car now all corners, id like to go wider in the rear don't wanna go smaller in diameter cause I'm not lowering the whole car just plan on dropping the rear 1 inch when I find a 1" lowering spring for the rear only that dont come with front springs

car has stock 06 GT wheels

I would just do that all around^^ More cost effective.

not trying to be funny or anything but how is it more cost effective to do all 4 tires rather then just the 2 rears?

will the 255/50R17 fit on the front with no rubbing?

i was trying to get the old school look of fatter tires on the rear and narrower then the front

Yes.

Mounted on 8" wide rims, a 255/50-17 is about half an inch narrower than the 255/45-18's on the 9.5" wide rims that Ford put on the GT500 (and what several people have mounted on "regular" GT's). Height is the same to within about 1/8".

I thought you were going to replace all of them and leave the front the stock size.
