Default SR Lowering Springs

To anybody that has installed these springs for the back springs did you put the coils that are closer together on the top or bottom?

The tighter coils should be at the top.

By the looks of the AM install guide they have, you can kind of notice the tighter coils being up top on the rear.

In general, a fair rule is printed wording should be upright and legible - though not always true - that's why it's always important to RTM.

Enjoy your springs, they drop the S197 nicely... However... On stock 17's, you'll be wanting a good slim floor-jack from now on, as the clearance will make jacking the car up pretty difficult with a bulky floor jack.
