S197 Shelby SectionThis section is for technical discussions pertaining specifically to the latest installment of the Shelby Mustangs; the Shelby GT, the CS6, and the awesome GT500.
I'm between Gießen and Staufenberg. About 40 minutes North of Frankfurt (20 minutes in a Shelby). I was looking at buying a 2011 Shelby from one of the servicemen stationed where you are, I think. It's silver with red stripes. But your car looks familiar, too. Did you have it for sale in mobile.de or autoscout24.de?[/IMG]
I actually purchased this car brand new back in October 2011 at the Hohenfels Military AFFESS Auto Sales. I'm in Afghanistan now, but will be back in Germany before March 2012 is over. Never driven a Mustang before, so when I come back, this will be my first time. Bought a few modifications that I will put on as soon as I get back and then I will hit the Autobahn....
Your car looks very very nice. By the way are you German???
beautiful car man...glad to hear you are enjoying her...i work at a ford dealership, and sometimes the sync can get a little whacky (especially when i first used it) but it is a great system, it just may not be picking up on your voice and/or accent (if you have one)...i know i can't speak how i normally do to my friends when i am using synce because it will do something else or not know what to do, but after time it learns you and you learn it...hope you enjoy some thousands of miles in that monster
but all in all, enjoy the car, and take some more beautiful pics of her around germany enjoy brother
Yeah, I guess I'll have to learn all of the proper commands first. And aside from any pronunciation deficiencies á la "How I Met Your Mother", my English is fine, being a Canadian living abroad.

You will love your new hot rod. I drove an '11 GT and absolutely love the 7000rpm Coyote!
I'm a Canadian, born and raised, but moved to Germany about 10 years ago. But my parents emmigrated to Canada from Germany.
Thanks again! So you'll be back in Germany in March and you'll get a chance to drive it over here for a while?
The streets here in Germany (and the ridiculously small fines for speeding) are a driver's paradise! But I haven't received a ticket for over a decade
Yeah, I will have some time to drive around Germany. Definately take a few trips to Garmish, Munich, and a few other places. Would love to go to the Nurnbergring..
I'm sure I will be a target for the Polezie, LOL...

The Nürburgring is definately a must-see (must-do). Don't pass up a chance to take a lap or two. But be careful, the ol' Nordschleife has been known to make grown men cry.

Thank you! I originally wanted Grabber Blue/white stripes or Red/white stripes. Then I saw pictures of this one in the internet. I figured I'd go have a look. Then when I saw the colour in person, I was sold. The red stripes on body and seats added a cool contrast. I never thought that I would end up buying a white car. But no regrets. Having said that, I'm sure I'd have been happy with blue or red, too.
