I've ordered something and it will be here in about a week and for the install I don't need to remove the visors completely but I do need to loosen the brackets. so on the inside mount there is a visible screw but on the outside mounts of the visors there is no visible screw to remove to loosen the mount.

has anybody removed their sun visors or loosened these brackets and know the best way to remove that mount without breaking it or ripping the headliner? I am trying not to tear up the car but what I ordered has brackets that fit under the sun visor mounts to hold it in place.

The bracket appears to be shaped like an "L". You should be able to remove the screw and angle the bracket out of its hole. You may have to rotate the visor to the side window position first to alllow it to come out.

 

ok, so it'll just be maneurvering it out of the slot? or is there some type of push tab i'm missing that "unlocks" it for removal?

well, i know there are 2 mounts..and 1 has a visible screw but the other one doesn't have anything visible- that's the one i'm curious about removing.

 

I turned mine towards the drivers door and just kind of yanked them out. They do pop out just be careful
