The Raybesto's Mustang is a one off ROUSH built car. We changed a lot on the Mustang from motor to transmission. This is not an off the shelf Mustang build. I can't remember if the oil cap was changed to say 5W50 Synthetic but that is the correct oil for that car.

Nick..what about the stage 3 supercharged Roush Mustangs? I just picked up a 2012 and was wondering if you recommend going with the 5w20 or any other line? Thanks in advance!

The only ROUSH vehicles we change oil to the 5W50 is with an upgraded motor. An Aluminator or Forged Internal (5XR, P51) would get the 5W50 otherwise we recommend running same as factory 5w20.

Default what is the recommended spark plugs?

Nick...

I recently had the 2012 stage 3 in service and the dealership replaced the spark plugs with the following p/n: CYFS12Y

Is this the correct p/n for my car? I am concerned because I felt as though the SC Roush cars used a colder plug. Please advise...

That is the correct spark plug number being used. Our calibrations now due not need a colder plug since the Ford head change in 2007. The key is to make sure they are gapped correctly.

Nick,
In my 07 Black Jack would you suggest 5w20? Is there any particular brand you would suggest? My father always ran Castrol in his Triumphs.

Bruce,

The 07 Black Jack would be 5W20. We use Motorcraft or Valvoline currently but any 5W20 will work just fine.
