im looking to get a 2002 extreme any body have any idea on how much boost could be run and what is the max horsepower the engine can take as well as the six speed tranny. hey birdieman if ur out there could use some advice im selling the 2004 saleen 281 to get the 2002 extreme since it comes with built motor what are the limits as far as horsepower. thanks

Well, the hp limits are similar to the 04 cobras, maybe slightly less. So, the motor would be good to 700 rwhp no problem, but you'd have to do several things to make that happen. If you wanted to run around 550 rwhp, You wouldn't have to upgrade the fuel system. That's the reccomended 'easy' amount of hp you could make and still have a plenty fast car, without upgrading too many things.
