92 LX Disc Brake conversion
I am trying to do a 7.5 to an 8.8....Drum to Disc Brake Swap....on a Budget......
I have acquired a complete 8.8 rear end with Trac Lok and 3:55 gears from a 1988 Mustang GT...
I have all the parts from a 87-88 Thunderbird T/C less axles...
Will the T/C parts bolt up tp the 4 lug 5.0 axles, which I already have, and complete the disc brake conversion..
Is it true that the T/C Caliper Mounting Brackets will extend each axle 3/4" out on each side...
I do not have the extra room in the fender wells to handle the extra length, without a potential fender rubbing problem..
Do I have any other choices than to buy the Special Brackets from North Race Cars and use stock length axles with the TC brakes...
Thanks Stan

your 7.5 axles and brakes will swap over into the 8.8. i wanna say there is a bracket to use the mustang axles and keep the disc. did you get an auto tbird rear? if so you got 3.73 gears manual cars got 3.55s
