Fluid Film - Rust and Corrosion Protection
Ordered three cans of this stuff, gonna give it a try. There is a local garage that will
do the whole under carriage for $150. I am going to do the engine bay and some rust
prone areas on my other car with this as as soon as I get it:
Metal test under carious conditions:
It will also soak into existing rust and prevent the spread. It may also help
flake off the rust of bare metal for reapplication. I did the same thing
with evap-o-rust radiator flush, mixed with transmissions fluid to it was
tacky but got some drip. Those areas on the mustang are still coated.
I also coat the lower inside of my door panels with trans fluid, they never rust, if
I get to it when it was new. Just spray it up in the drain holes and angle
side to side, let excess run out. Bottom of my doors never rusted.
So, will see what this stuff is about.
