Default HEAD AND CAM CHANGE WITH SPEED DENSITY

I'm new to the post but long time mustang ownerI've had two gt 's .An 1986 and this 1987 i got in 1989.I'm going to change the heads on my 87 gt to afp165's or have my factory heads cnc ported and 194 160 valves installed .As for cam i'd like to use the xe270hr comp or the steeda #19.My question is has any one tried this ,with speed density, and how did it perform and what about idle quality? In other words cam you hear the cam at idle? What about sound clips?Where can i find one on both cams listed above????[8D]

dimebag runs the xe270hr in his fox with no issues but he had to do a little map work though what exactly i don't know that is all he said , but it has been reliable enough for him to drive it daily . pm him he is pretty decent guy to talk to and he can help you go in the right direction.

yeah alero you are right itwon't sound to lopey and can't really go that radical to get it sounding that way with sd .hey alero why i am here with 1.7rr's and a stock cam it will put the lift at.472which is a bit better than .444 stock .

i have the xe270... gt40 heads/intake... for me its running great... however it idles at about 900 rpms.. if its cold as **** out like 1200rpms which yes is high...

some ppl have idle issues with this cam, i however do not, i also didnt just bolt it in and go... i did some things w. spring pressures, the map vac line and such....

then again, others have thrown it in and been great...

its a great cam, wonderful power range... makes some decent power... and isnt a bad price

is it lopy at idle? no... can you tell that it isnt stock anymore... yes

Why not much on cam sound on the xe270hr?I've heard sound clip of xe 270hron street fire .net and the cam sounds pretty good. It's titled as 89 full bolt on vert with xe270 cam.
