Thanx for the speedy reply HACKGT350! I kinda though you's would be partial to the QF! Looks pretty hoss for $400ish (USD). Another quick question is, should I get mechanical or vacuum secondaries. I was reading some stuff on here, and the mechanical seems like the better performer. I know I'm still auto w/stock converter, but will it hinder my street driving (for now) being such a low stall?? I hope that made sense, let me know what you's think. Thanx again!

mechanical is more of the performer and vacuum is much better for a street cruiser. its really your call, you cant just mat the mechanical to the floor and expect it to take off like the old one did you have to more or less ease into the pedal or you will be giving it too much fuel at low rpm's.

when i get a new job and start bringing in money again i will finally be getting my engine together and i will be getting a 650dp from QF with mechanical secondaries. one thing i would change for your future set up is the intake, get the edle rpm air gap, its a much better intake.

Sounds good. I'll probably get the mechanical 650 QF and just adjust my right foots attitude.

As for the RPM air gap I'll see about my financial state as well lol. I just picked it up new last summer ! I know it's out dated, but so are the GT40's. I'm not trying to skimp, but the RPM was a pretty good deal being it was on sale in the flier.

Thanx again for the speedy reply and the tips (HACKGT350). I'll let ya's all know how it works out!

Ten four on that one. No doubt it'll make some steam. I think Adder was making 270ish with his cobra "back in the day" stock and tuned well. Plus having iron heads is kinda cool. Specially when they're all hogged out Can't wait to get some shight done on the old girl. I'm convinced if I don't do anything to it soon, I'll fall asleep while making a 1/4 mile pass lol..

Good news!! Got me a new Quickfuel SS-650-AN with manual secondaries !! Super pleased with the quality of thing. No casting marks or any blemishes at all. Came with everything I needed to slap it on, all in one nice little box! Still gotta set the choke just right (tad high for Chad) and do some idle mixture screw turning, but the main thing is ITS ALIVE!!!! Man this thing works well!!!! For once I don't have a hickup, or stumble of any sort. It's like a night and day difference! Thanx for the advice boys. Greatly appreciated!
