We raced 3 times. I pulled on him by about 2 cars in 2nd, and then in 3rd and 4th he caught up to me and the front of him car was at my front tire. At the track he ran a 13.6 with the Ram Air, headers and exhaust.

I mean I'm not sitting here trying to BS you guys because my car is stock and honestly doesn't have a damn thing to prove. But i'm just laying down fact that are proven.

its not that i dont believe you but thats just odd that a modded GT cant beat a stock SS cobalt. he ran a 13.6 at the track, and there aint no way in hell that a stock cobalt SS runs mid 13's, so yeah something mustve happened btwn the time he was at the track and when yall raced. that or like i said earlier, he sucks at driving. but a 13.6 is pretty good and sounds pretty much right wit those mods. hmmm weird. try racing other GT's and see what happens

But see from a dig, yes he would murder me. And i'm not saying GT's don't have top end but, my top end killed him and thats why I pulled him.

I get the biggest kick out of these people who are telling me and post that there stock cobalt ss or noen srt-4 will walk a 01-04 manual GT in a drag race.They are no better than 15 second cars let alone 4 cylinders that have to be reved at 6500 rpms just to get em over 200 HP.Any how I just that's pretty hillarious

You know nothing. The SRT-4 puts down over 200whp to the ground stock. They run high 13s to low 14s stock. The Cobalt is much slower running mid 14s to low 15s. 99-04 GT and a SRT-4 is a drivers race from a stop and the SRT will win from a roll. This of course being stock for stock. The SRT-4 redlines at 6000 RPM not 6500. Don't make ignorant posts like this. Learn a little bit about the cars first and then start maybe you won't make stupid posts like this one.
Also, the GT will own a Cobalt from a Dig but Cobalt wins from a roll, stock for stock. But wtf, who cares? A Cobalt is cheap to Mod. For $1500 i'll have a Slobalt in the high 12's. And thats a 2.8" Pulley, 42.5 pound/hour Fuel Injectors, LSJ Injector Wiring Harness, MAF Translator, Intake, Stage 2 Clutch, Drag Radials and Cat removed. I cant hit 270 whp with this setup. Pretty good for the small amount spent.


Rofl, maybe a 96-98.

A 99+ will EAT you alive from a roll.
Ok so why am I beating Stock 5spd GTs from a roll then? I beat one of my buddy who has an 01' GT 5spd, ram air, headers and exhaust and he can drive really good and I still pull him by a fender. From a dig they own me, from a roll, I win. A stock GT I beat by a car length.

No way a stock coblat can even hang with a stock GT from a roll, let alone a full exhaust car. His car is making like 50 horsepower more to the ground than your car does AT THE FLYWHEEL.

Also, you beat a stock GT only by a car, but you beat a full exhaust one by a fender?? Ooookkk.

BTW, lets compare:

Coblat: 2991 pounds, 200 horsepower. 14.99 pounds/horsepower

GT: 3400 pounds (figuring heavy here) 260 horsepower. 13.07 pounds/horsepower.

I would tell you to do the math, but I already did it for you.

Your cars are faster stock for stock, the SRT is a drivers race, but in the end you have MUSTANG not some rebuilt Cavalier or a ugly 4 door Neon. We all know that a modded SRT can be fast and I suppose if you think high 12;s are fast than a Cobalt is kinda sorta fast also. Please can we just forget about these cars for a bit? actually i was giving ursslow the benefit of the doubt. i wasnt there exactly, so maybe he did beat him. but it just doesnt add up is all i was gettin at. ursslow isnt arrogant like cody either and thinks that the cobalt can whup mach 1's stock for stock. i know its a beaten horse but debate is what keeps the forums alive, well at least to me. but ursslow isnt being a jerk like cody, so lets keep this one around for a bit.

The SRT yes, the Cobalt no, again though the worst part about most these cars are the owners. Besides like I always say, fast is relative. While urSSlow is not being arrogant (his S/N aside) he is only here to talk about his Cobalt. I know you like the debates and all but when it is the same crap over and over it gets old.
