I know you was being sarcastic.... but just in case someone doubts how good those fargin LS1's run, I wanted to reiterate it... It annoys me, his car is almost as fast as mine and it has AC, OD, Power everything, looks nice, handles great, gets 30 mpg, and has a white leather interior. Okay well more than annoys me, tech is a good thing, I need some injection on my car, and an OD that can handle my torque.... stupid LS1's

Well we dont have a video of it runnin an 11 yet, we missed it every freakin time so far. But we have a nice 12.08 run and ya know it still has 2.73 gears in it....lol

 

Why are they calling the new LS1 the LS2? I suppose thats cool for the LS1 name, but what are they going to call the LS6? the LS7?

The LS2 is a different engine. It's 6.0 liters vs 5.7. I'm not sure of the other differences. It's the engine that is in the new C6's putting out 400hp.

 

I believe it's also got 3 valves per cylinder.

 

i know all the specs on it (liter change etc etc) i was basically asking if anybody knew what the new LS6 replacement would be called.

 

I don't know, the LS2 is putting out as much as the LS6, so who knows. Maybe they'll go 427, so it's rumored anyhow.
