several years ago at the track I was lined up in the lanes next to a red Camaro with a lot of chrome under the hood and a custom plate that read "4UFORDS". the driver and his buddies were all laughing and talking and having a good time. he dialed a mid 12 and I had a mid 14. somehow I let the license plate get under my skin a bit, so when the tree went down I nailed it and and hit the shifts hard. at the finish line I had him covered by a car length or so but I wasn't about to lift. win light went on in my lane and boy was I happy to put him on the trailer that night. timeslip showed my .525 reaction time to his .660. I drove by him later in the pits and he wasn't a happy camper anymore!!!

Yeah man, so it has a 150 shot...lol. That isnt enuff to hang with the mighty Vfast! Camaros suck, unless they are bright orange and run 11's with a stock engine and 2.73 gears, then they are cool...

Give me a Pontiac over a chevy anyday! I still like some Fords, old skool stuff mind you.. Smoke a Camaro and tell me about it, ok? I love beating them almost as much as I enjoy beating a Cobra..

I don't think anyone in here will believe either of those blasphemous accusations. A CAMARO for crying out loud with 2.73 gears running 11's with a stock internaled motor and to top if off, YOU beating a COBRA. Dude, no f'in way.

My car doesnt have 2.73 gears, and yes there is a 99 Z28 with 2.73 gears, stock internals with headers a stall (yeah it's automatic!) underdrive pulleys, short belt, and a cut out on the stock pipe after the headers, with some ET streets running a best of 11.94. Its Hugger Orange and you can come take a drive or ride in it anytime.

There is also a stock internal, stock exhaust, 99 Z28 that was built 5 days prior to the Orange one that runs 12.4 on normal radial tires. Its a Silver M6, and doesnt even have a TB on it.

BTW my old 79 POS Formula will spank a Cobra, (unless it can hook and has been modded pretty good) it only has an 11:1 455 and ran mid 11's on the motor with a best of 1.61 60ft.
