I think everyone should drive one for themselves in order to voice a valid opinion!! I have no set likes or dislikes i just want one!!!
^^Plus+1

They used the iron block which makes me wonder why but then they also have to stick a warranty on this sucker and since it doesn't cost 150k like the Ford GT they built the motor with the good stuff like forged internals etc... this adds weight to a car that already weighs too much, what did people expect? Put more on it and it would lose weight??

I for one want one bad, and in 2 years I know I'll be able to get one near sticker, which I will do. I doubt I'll be wanting more performance since anything heavier than a feather on the throttle burns the tires off like nothing.

'03/'04 Cobras owners can brag how they feel their car is better in this way or that but they aren't, we could list the weaknesses of that car as well (I won't because I love those cars also) but in the end the Shelby will be the winner because it will hold it's value better and 30 years from now will be the KR from the 60's.

you really can't compare yet which car will hold its value better over the long run.
the sti's stickered more than evo's but now the 03 evo's are sellin for more than the more expensive 03 sti's.
its gonna be based on want for the car.
the 03 to 04 cobras have a very high want for them. and with the new gt500s not eclipsing their performance mark, i don't see them being highly sought after in a couple of years. the only thing they will have going for them will be the shelby name sake.

my gt was pretty slow.

eibach 2.5" dropped springs, kyb gas adjustable struts, fms camber plates, 8.8 rear with 3.53s, rear pan hard bar, front upper and lower tower brace, sub frame connectors, 8pt cage, mac headers, off road h pipe, flowmaster 3 chambers, hurst shifter, intake, throttle body, 24lb injectors, underdrive pulleys, ac removed, fluidyne radiator, electrical fan, ummmm there are a few more things, but my dad sold it bout 4yrs ago when i was in japan with the military.
fortunately he sold it to a friend. he's rebuilt it with a 306, cam, cobra upper and lower intake, pistons rods etc
may have been slow, but i bet it handled like it was "on rails".
