Ok so a guy i work with has a 03 svt focus(bone stock) and he want to race against me. Before I even think about doing this i would like to have a idea how close it would be. My car has a CAI, full exhaust with no cats, other wise stock. Oh yes i am a aod with 3.27 gears.

If it truley would be a close race i would probably end up winning since i know that he has the s***** driver mod.

This race may not go down at all since there is no dragstrip and I dont like racing on the street, especially since it seems that there are always ppl out driving around in hawaii.

They are pretty nice cars. Really nice interior as far as support and looks. But thats about where it stops in terms of straigtline performance.

I road in a friend of mines stock SVT Focus. Nothign to worry about. Sure, they are kind of peppy, but no hard pulling power.

Run from a dig or a roll, I dont foresee you having any problem either way.

 

you should definitely beat him, no disrespect to the focus.

 

ya you guys just reinforced what i was thinking but i wasnt to sure. I drove it a couple times and it felt quick. I waasnt exactly worried about from a dig, it was more from a roll that i felt it would be more of a race.

 

i DROVE an SVT Focus i think early last week(2wks ago) for a used car inspection. thing had NO ***** !!! it caught 2nd gear nicely, but, other than that, nothing. i couldve sworn my old '93 civic 4-dr NON-vtec couldve taken it. thats how slow it felt. BUT, i could also be used to my v8 and having torque...either way, no worries dude. you got him.
