I was talking about eclipse gt's sorry. It takes more than turning up the boost to beat the new mustang gt's

your forgetting a piston through the hood as well
Are u serious?
I run 18-20psi day in, day out on a t3/t4, not to mention it's on 150k+ miles, don't forget these motors are TOUGH.

Tough??? I had one and it was a pieace of sh**
How well did u take care of it? Or should I ask how much it was abused or neglected before u got it. From my experience, take care of it and it will be just fine, and I've had 5 of them, both turbo generations.

they look alot better than the girly teenie bopper model before it.... I would say this is a pretty decent car considering the most powerful model before it was a turboed GSX which is AWD and put a whopping 210HP/240lbs to the wheels and pulled 14.8's-low 15's in the 1/4.... keep in mind it's pulling 14.0-14.5 N/A on a FWD ****box almost every run... if they gave it a big snail and let it graduate with AWD honors I think it would definitely be beastly
The 210hp rating is on 8psi, that's childs play, all it takes is a manual boost controller to surpass the new gt's.

ugh...no. stock turboed eclipse's would have a hard time beating a 99+GT. def more than a boost controller.

Now, my talon was abused before i got it and it was a broken down pile 50 percent of the time i owned it, but when i had it running, i had a 2.5 inch cat back, stock cat, removed the aircan and a boost controller at 15 psi and it ran a 14.660@91.94mph. A friend of mine had an 01 GT 5 speed and the best he could manage was a 14.7, so all it really takes is an EXHAUST and boost controller... i have the timeslip if you dont believe me

Are U including the 1990-1999 turbo models in this? I hope not, because they are basically de-tuned EVO's

the second gen eclipses had crappy turbos, could not hold much boost past 10lbs. i could see a first gen eclipse with boost controller AND other bolt ons beating a STOCK 99+GT. not a second gen though. 90-99 turbo models do not even run half the boost that evos do!

I didn't know that. I'd like to run one with my Tune and 4.10's then.
