they look alot better than the girly teenie bopper model before it.... I would say this is a pretty decent car considering the most powerful model before it was a turboed GSX which is AWD and put a whopping 210HP/240lbs to the wheels and pulled 14.8's-low 15's in the 1/4.... keep in mind it's pulling 14.0-14.5 N/A on a FWD ****box almost every run... if they gave it a big snail and let it graduate with AWD honors I think it would definitely be beastly
The 210hp rating is on 8psi, that's childs play, all it takes is a manual boost controller to surpass the new gt's.

ugh...no. stock turboed eclipse's would have a hard time beating a 99+GT. def more than a boost controller.

Now, my talon was abused before i got it and it was a broken down pile 50 percent of the time i owned it, but when i had it running, i had a 2.5 inch cat back, stock cat, removed the aircan and a boost controller at 15 psi and it ran a 14.660@91.94mph. A friend of mine had an 01 GT 5 speed and the best he could manage was a 14.7, so all it really takes is an EXHAUST and boost controller... i have the timeslip if you dont believe me
You mean, all it took for you to beat your friends 01 GT 5 speed was exhaust and a boost controller. Almost any schmuck can get behind the wheel of a 99 - 04 GT and easily click off a 14.7. Still, I'm not gonna hate on you. You were obviously the better driver in that situation. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I know a guy that ran a 13.7 on a 96 Talon TSI AWD (same as a GSX) with an exhaust, intake and boost controller. That's on the crappy T-25 turbo from the second gen years. I have a 95 GSX and it is definitely a hell of a lot quicker than my 03 Mustang GT. They lose it at the higher speeds though. They are geared to get you from 0-60 very quickly but not much past that IMO.

Good kill on the 4g Eclipse.

Those Evo IX are sweet. The local dealer had about five to choose from, but one stood out a red one with Recaro seats. They have a new trim line with the Recaro's and a chrome shift handle. I think the trim line was called ME or MR. That specific model went for $41K including their extortion mark up.

Eclipse's are 100% GARBAGE!!!! Mitsubsishi needs to quit making the POS and stick with the LANCER EVOLUTION!!!!

I didn't know that. I'd like to run one with my Tune and 4.10's then.
Sorry my post was confusing, I just caught that. What I meant was turn up the boost, and it will be surpassing ECLIPSE GT's. I didn't kill any 05-06 mustang GT's until I upgraded my turbo. A turbo model with more boost (15-16psi) is about the same level as a 99-04 mustang, a bit faster, to dead even, depending on the car.
