a properly tuned PI 2V running 10 PSI should pull almost 400 rwhp. i have seen plenty do this at moudlar powerhouse. i saw a v6 pull 325 with 13 PSI intecooled from a vortech!
Considering I'm talking about a non-intercooled 1.7KB at 6psi. 400rwhp is out of the question. I'll stick to my 340rwhp.

Good call. It'll be much safer that way until you get to forged bottom end.

I figured it would be alot safer and since its gonna be my DD, I figured I would be happy with a low 13 to high 12 second car for now. Just wait until its paid off and my forged short block with a 2.2 KB is gonna go under the hood. [8D]

Well keep me in mind because I will buy the 1.7 from you if I haven't SC'd mine already by then. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I would sell it too you, but its gonna be awhile, like atleast 5 or 6 years. I hope to get a KB within the next year, and then when the car is paid off I wanna get the new engine and a different KB.

silver, a guy i kno has an 03' Vert auto with an X pipe and catback and the Kenne Bell 1.7 intercooled. He runs between 8.0 - 8.3 in the 1/8th at my track , spinning pretty good on BFG tires on 10.5 deep dish bullits. Now, i run an 8.85 with street tires and that equated to my best run of a 13.68 (topped my old best of 13.70) so that 8.0 - 8.3 would equate to prob high 12's but hes a vert (heavier) so i would imagine a Kenne bell on you car or mine would get us to mid 12's easily provided we get traction.........im planning on getting a 1.7 kenne IC or a Saleen series IV intercooled ( cheeper than KB only 4200 bucks) so that should be fun, esp with my 4.10's i will get sideways pretty good i imagine

I guess getting a Saleen with intercooler is pretty cheap if its only $4200. The 1.7KB without intercooler is $3800, but I just want something simple that will keep me happy for a few years and I think running 12's for a DD is pretty good.

yeah i found the saleen SC from one of this site sponsors...hanley motorsports i believe...you get a Saleen series IV intercooled blower and all the goodies that go with it (injectors hardware etc) i think its a helluva deal for 4200 bucks and i know i have seen it cheaper somewhere else but i cant think of it....kenne bell is nice but pretty $$$$$$$ but any way you go i would say get intercooled just pay the extra $ i think i would be happier in the long run

It depends on how much more the intercooled kit is. I know I want KB, and the non-intercooled one is for me because it wont be producing a sh*t load of power to where I'll need any upgrades such as bottom end or internals and stuff. And with the intercooled, you make up what .5 in the 1/4, not really too much for me to be f*ckin around with it. I understand what your saying, and I'll look into the intercooled KB and see what all I would need. Thanks for the info.
