Default Octane Boosters

Does anyone put any type of octane booster into their fuel before going to the track? The gas station next to the track sells 100 octane but I will already have about 3/8 of a tank since I didnt really plan ahead for this. I'm not expecting this to make me faster by any means, just a little precaution to help prevent detonation. Should I just use the guaranteed 100 octane to sweeten my tank, or just dump a can of octane booster in? If so which brand?

1. they only increase your octane to 1 number higher ( 89 turns into 90)

2.You have to be tuned for what ever octane you use for it to be effective

I simply don't believe in so-called Octane boosters which are solvents that slow down the burn, rather my preference is to go with a quality fuel either straight or in a mixture with
pump gas, VP's Motorsports has several Octane blends which are ideal for a street car requiring unleaded high Octane fuel.

in my 636 hp car, low boost I tend to ran a mix of pump and VP's C16, in high boost its pure C16....

At the track I have fielded upto 5 cars on a given race day, on my stock cars I have always loved to add a touch of motorsports to help eliminate any knock retard and the pulling of timing.

Not all will agree with this but in my own personal experiences I find it to be beneficial, as I want to give whichever car I am running at the time its best chance of ET'ing as well as possible.

I hate mis-shifts, timing pulled, things of that nature which result in wasted runs.

1.) My friend works for Florida gas Company and they tested Torco Octane Booster and that works, but I cant find a local shop that sells it and I didn't plan ahead. 1 quart mixed with 10 gallons of 93 raised the octane to 97, when mixed with 5 gallons it raised the octane to 103.
2.)I dont want added performance, just added safety
