i dont like DSM's they are junk and dont last.
where is your logic at man.. NO 4 banger is gunna be in V8 territory without a power adder. its fact. saying that im calling 03 terminators slow because they are S/C'd is stupid.
look at the henessy viper you think it would be at 1000hp without twin turbos?

Maybe a stock 3G Eclipse GT runs low to high 15s, but a 4G Eclipse is perfectly capable of mid to low 14s@98-101MPH. The 4g Eclipse is rated at just over 260HP, but in reality, they put down 230-245WHP, they are underrated in power like many cars these days such as Cobalt SS, SRT-4, EVO IX, Mustang GT, IS350, and etc.
As far as a 4-Banger needing a power adder, yeah, your right, but then I can say, well you need 4 more cylinders. Run what you brung.

4 banger technology is really catching up.. those 1.8L GSR vtec motors push 180hp and the preludes have 200hp.. no power adders thats about as close to a factory turbocharged dsm
again any car can be made fast but when u have 4 more cylinders and cheaper after market.. ur horizon is expanded significantly.. ill never ditch the V8 [8D]

Im sorry man, but you CANNOT drive a 5.0 and bash DSM reliability, lmao. Do you know how much crap goes out on 5.0s? When I bought mine (1988 no rust, maintained until it started knocking and then parked) it needed: Brakes, heater core, air pump, transmission, shocks, struts, rear springs, the list goes on.
A well built DSM will last just as long as any other car. Period.

Lol, catching up? They have NA 4-bangers that will walk a 99-04 GT (S2000, Elise, etc.) and FI 4-bangers that are giving comp to the 03/04 Cobras (EVO9). I would say they have already caught us...My friends mostly drive imports (the ones who race, not ALL of them, lol) and are mostly in the 11's at 120+.
