So, do you have a 5.0 mustang or a 95 TA? And what do you have that "breaks loose" at 50 MPH like you indicated in another thread here? I'm curious. Sounds like a badass car...

Yep, my 95 TA put many a pony in its place.

Im dead even if not slower then my Freinds 95 Z-28, and he only has full exhaust... you must have a fast ride.

I was referring to my friend's A4 LS1 car that when floored at 55mph will drop to 2nd and scratch the tires if it is the thread you are thinking of. My 5.0 will spin through half of 2nd when I hit it at about 30-35mph. It does it a LITTLE now, but did a lot more when it was correctly tuned. If I were to tune it with the carb, it would likely do much more. Again, I doubt I will take the money to do it.
ok. Thats cool. I guess we just differ on "scratching" and "breaking loose" definitions and how it pertains to loosing control of a car. Sratching = no tail wagging etc. Breaking loose= better be on your game or your doing 360s and barrel rolls.
You answered my question perfectly.

Lol, his car wagged the end when he did it. By scratching I mean 6-10 feet of rubber, by BREAKING LOOSE, I mean peeling through the gear or until you lift. Hell, my old LT1 would put 5-10 feet of rubber on the ground at about 45mph in the 1-2 shift and it had 2.73's (this was with low-tread on the tires)
I raced a LS1 TA with a cat-back/tune that was auto and he punched it at 50 in front of me and although it was dark and I could not see the tires, I did notice a good bit of road-dust/smoke/whatever and the lights waggled significantly, thus my own experience validates that of my friend's. But no, 5-10' of rubber is all it would lay, it wouldnt truly break loose.
If you want to talk about scratching, my 5.0 will scratch 4th at 80, lol. Thats just **** weak though.
PS, the cratching 4th @ 80 is with a decent tune* It will still scratch 4th, but only at lower speeds like 50ish b/c its runnign pig rich and has lost its top end power b/c this (Primary jets are fouling out the plugs almost...the secondaries bog the car).

I had a 94 Z28 Auto and with 1600 miles on the clock I ran 13.98 @98 at Maplegrove. No mods no nothing.
I remember a number of 6 speed cars going mid 13's
