Obviously, but to just throw out that turbo civics are slow is pretty general. A properly tuned turbo civic with a H22 engine swap will eat his mustang.
Well obviously there are fast civics, but 99.9999999999999% of them are slowwwww.

Anything that requires an engine swap is slow, period. I dont mean to rant, but it bothers me when people try telling me how "fast" hondas and acuras are, when every "fast" honda or acura they mention has an engine swap. It really is lame.

F*CK any "fast" mustang has had an engine swap or stroker kit or F/I added too. Dumb *****.

ANYTHING that wants to be truly fast needs a swap... unless you count supercars and stuff.

Besides, not every Honda needs a swap. Where the heck do you think they get the engines from in the first place?

And to the comment about a 347 stroker destroying a Civic... well... yeah. but then you aren't even talking remotely the same amount of money into the cars.

ha, so I am. I missed that line. [&:]
Just because it had a blow-off valve doesn't mean it was turbo. Hell, it could've just been something that sounds like a BOV; I've heard a few cars that actually sound like they're running boost, only to discover they're running ragged.

fishyducky, that is a gorgeous Mach, got any more pics?

Nice kill it was probably a D series motor with a junkyard turbo kit. You can run 14s or maybe a bit better for about 1k so their not too bad when in the right hands. Either way for a Civic to beat a Mach 1 it's going to need a bit more than a ghetto turbo. Like an engine swap with turbo and you know how pricey those things can get[8D]

You're kidding me, right?

I've seen Honda turbo kits sell for $3000+, and they only claim like 240 hp. Now for 5000, I could make a stroker with somewhere around 400rwhp. Naturally aspirated.
