LOL...you can actually hit VTEC on those cars...Not making fun of you or anything but i thought VTEC had to do with the valve timing....I didn't know you could activate it from inside your car....Correct me if i'm wrong.

 

You could if you hooked up a switch. hitting VTEC involves only revving a motor like mine past 5500 rpm.

 

LOL...**** that explains it...Heck it probably runs unlike any other....I had a friend once who had an old school chevy with a 350 and he was beating everybody....He was neck and neck with a 93 Z28 up until around 120 or so....he still only lost about 2 carlengths after that....Goes to show that anything can be made fast.

Rice, do we have to discuss what Rice is again? Do you have a nine inch tailpipe on a 1 1/2 inch exhaust system? Do you think I labeled Civic Si as rice? Are you an idiot? THe particular car I raced was rice, like it or not some people with cars like your si and my mustang rice them up. It wasn't a shot at you, but at rice, I hate rice and I'm not real fond of most of the people who drive them. Honestly Si, when are we going to get through all the bs and realize that I don't have anything against you, despite you blatently bashing me on my post about how this is a mustang site? vtec is a 3rd cantilever arm locking a higher lift lobe into place which, yes, like a turbo packs just that much more air into the cylinders.

I never said you had anything against me, we were having a discussion until you seemed to have gotten a little bit irritated that I was defending my choice of vehicle against what people have "heard".

You can defend your choice of vehicle, I defend mine, but since there isn't a readily available source that tells you what my 73' with mods runs, don't you think it would be smart to believe me instead of bash me? I can find out if it is that big of a deal, I'm only half hour from Bandi, if they will even let my old truck run. HOpe that clears everything up.
