Not a fan of the looks. Dont like the two tone, dont like the hood and dont like the spoiler. 675 Hp...Well in 2000 the Hennessy Viper made 800 and it ran a 10.7. Which is what a stock/very lightly modded Z06 runs now. I guess iv never really liked the vipers. The guys on that page seem to think its gonna be the best thing since sliced bread, but ill bet the SS Vette kills that thing in every catagory for about 20k$ less.
Good post.

I have not been impressed with the Vipers numbers on the track. We all know that the Viper has been boasting over 425HP since it's debuit, and not reaching 11s until now is ridiculous. Even the 2006 Model with 525HP could only hit 12.2. Hell I'd rather have a C6 Vette with Z51 package and hit that same 12.2 in much more comfort. However, Dodge paid McClaren some big $$$ to make this thing fast so i'm not sure what the results will be. One thing is for sure, The big V10 weighs the car down and we all know power hates weight.

Dodge's SRT division has got it right. hopefully chevys SS's can come up with something more promising than 300hp front drive montes, impalas & 205hpcobalts. The holden's are the answer to the SS problems. Rear drive sick power and good looks. Where's SVT when you need em??? It would be awesome for the Big 3 to get into a horsepower war that would make the first muscle car era look weak. Bring back svt!

better car IMO....

and they boast about it being faster than the new Z06.... thing is, I don't think this viper is going to cost 60-70K

on top of that the projected cost for the TT SS is a supposed 100K even to keep up with top of the line exotics.... and I hate to say it, I don't even think this viper is going to settle for 125K by the looks of it
That Ford GTI sounds awsome. 700Hp? I think Steve Saleen is getting nervous...

Power numbers, or performance? Cause if you mean performance, you don't need to look any further than a LS1 F-Body, a LS2 GTO, an 03/04 Cobra, or anything else along these lines to HUMILIATE stock 60's era muscle cars.

But yes, I do see what you're saying. not that it matters to 99% of us since we'll never be able to afford them anyways.

Lol. With the way things are going we'r gonna have 9 second factory stock cars soon. Hell, pretty soon the biggest restriction on the supercars is going to be keeping it road legal. And +1 on the Ford GTXI, i think thats the only time iv seen that guy look like he's truly enjoying himself when doing a test drive.

GTX-1 Is one bad ****, no doubt about. The GT/X-1 seem to be the only cars from Ford that make Clarkson go"...........WOAH", and even though i cant stand him, hes had wheel time in the fastest street cars on the planet, including a Bugatti Veyron. Praise like what he gives the Z06's track manners and the Ford GT/X-1s is something to take into account.

I still think GM's Sting Ray and whatever Ford(hopefully) throws into this fray will humiliate the Viper, just like they've already done.

As expected, Dodge puts it's next generation prouduct on the market, only to be out done and out classed by GM and Ford. No dissrespect to Mopar fans here I am talking about the Viper and only about the Viper.
