This car was never meant as mentioned above to compete with the Vette. And for $80K more I hope it would pull because limited production or not no-one would buy this car if a $70K Corvette would out-perform it. A Corvette is an established car and I don't see Ford trying to introduce a car to compete in it's class. The Mustang proved it to the Camaro in a sense.
the vette is one of the best bang for the buck cars there is. outperforms cars 2 and 3 times the price. so people will still pay more for less, thats why people still buy certain porsche's, lambo's, etc
+1. You cant be ocmparing cars to the new Z06, otherwise cars like Vipers, Lambo's, Porsches, and some ferrari's are a waste of money.

True dat. Just wait until the new camaro comes out and the gt500 comes from the factory with a pulley swap and slicks just to keep up. Hurrah as the ford vs chery rivalry continue's.

All of his racing is done from a roll so the 1/4 isn't anything more than tuning time.. I believe right now he's close to or over 1200 hp..

The thread starter obviously has one intention here, and that is to flame, even if he's doing it in a subtle mannor.

Anyone who says "looks" killed the F-Body, not "performance" is off, way off. It was neither, it was the lack of all around friendliness.

As for the Corvette, being a 'bang for the buck car', eh, I almost think I would differ.

No car that costs more than 35-40K is a 'bang for the buck car'

take a basic Mustang GT for less than the difference between it (28K) and a Z06 (70K) you can make the GT out run, and out handle the Z06.. take a srt-4.. for less than that you can make it faster, and handle better as wel..

my opinion,,
