was probably an LT1, or a crappy LS1 driver with an auto 2.73 geared vert and a system in back
their 10 year old technology of the LS1 still hasnt been touched by fords new 3V motors
This statement has always perplexed me. Not trying to be snide, but how is the LS1 more technologically advanced? It just proves "no replacement for displacement"

gm may make faster cars stock, but you guys can do some cheap mods and push out some crazy speed with some drag radials

So I was cruising around in my bugatti veyron and this z28 blows my doors off...I said screw that I'm hopping in my hennessey tt viper and we raced again and I spun a little and gave him a 5-car length victory...so I said to myself that enough was enoughand hopped in my built tt lingenfelter vette and went so fast i flew around the world and lapped him in 17 seconds, my record in 15.5 seconds. LSx = god

umm, so can an LS1 car, puts then into the 12s with n20. I beleive it would be cheaper for an LS1 to go faster than most mustangs IMO.

Very true, Although, I think its not a matter of more technilogically advanced but just different, pushrods do create a flatter power curve but fall on there faces at like 6K, while over head cams have higher rpms. I do think its interesting that ford is finally catching up to the preformance of 10 year old engines.

A stock 6-speed LS1 Camaro should run high 12's with sticky tires, and an auto should come pretty close. Nitrous would put it into the 11's.

Why are we discussing all of this again. There is a sticky above called LS1, there is plenty of this same argument and **** talking up in there. Most of us know what an LS car can do. Seems like every post ends up with this same old thing. Damn you cant puta Ford guy and a Chevy guy in the same room without it starting an argument.
