I had my 2002 Mustang GT at the time...
It may be worth the cost to some people. But from a performance/quality standpoint to me, not a chance in hell.

considering what it is, one of the fastest full size sedans in the world especially for the price, i think that they did a nice job with them...ive driven an srt8, and the interior was very nice...and ive owned a BMW.
I dont get why people seem to diss on these cars so much. My father has owned so many damn cars, ranging from american and european luxury, corvettes, camaros, mustangs, impalals and novas. Our 300C was one of the first in the state. Awesome car, loved it to death, peppy, fastest paperweight I've ever driven. One year later, we traded it in for the first SRT-8 300C in the state and northern west-coast. One of the best all around and luxury cars i've been in. The Bose is amazing, LCD screens, 13 speakers, 425hp and high 12 to low 13 second QM times, rides on supercar tires, top speed of over 170mph, looks better than the neighbors Benz, is faster than the other kids' father's Saleen, and costs what? $46,000 new for a base SRT-8, which is still a luxury car. Closest thing from Europe as far as HP/TQ and quality is the 435hp V10 Audi S6, that is STILL slower than an SRT-8 300C. What is so bad about this car?

Just thank God it doesnt have any "L"s or numbers like 1,2, 6 or 7 in the name, because it would be the fastest thing with four doors.......
I stand by my opinion. The car is junk. I can't say anything about the SRT-8, I have no firsthand experience with them.
I have a hard time believing that Hemi-C would have given my Mustang a good run. It felt ungodly slow, perhaps it was just the way the car was built and gave a warped sense of speed/acceleration. Power aside, the quality was atrocious. I don't care if it was hand built by Ferrari, it's garbage. Perhaps we have different standards.
If a BMW X3 is a representation of todays overall quality from BMW...that would explain why you thought the 300C is good quality. The BMW X3 loaner I had 3 months ago that I drove for just shy of a week was also crap. The only thing good about the overpriced hunk of metal was the suspension, which is to be expected by BMW. The rest of the SUV was a joke. That is the only BMW I've had firsthand experience with.

the BMW X3 has been called by several bmw enthusiast mags "the worse bmw ever built"....i had an older 5 series, lightly modded. it was a 94 with 230,000 miles on it, and still had better quality interior than any new edge mustang ive been in..."leather" should come from an animal, not a machine...

everyone is entitled to an opinion, but there is a reason that the 300 series has won so many awards...id bet if ford made it, plenty of people here would be hanging from its nuts.

If you think a 300C is that bad, i dont want to even get you started on your Edge GT.

But at least with the GT I didn't feel like the entire interior of the car would fall apart if I touched it. For as low quality as Mustang's are, they have solid interiors. I wouldn't say the same with the 05+ GT's, but pre 05 are acceptable.
I remember my coworkers and I looking closely at the 300C, and pushing in the silver plastic interior panel on the center console. Practically nothing on the car was actually solid, it was all cheap and flimsy plastic. The same with the exterior bumpers, both of them had a rediculous amount of play.
While I feel 90% of new cars have the same quality about them, I just feel this 300C is no exception. But of course, I've never been impressed with Dodge's quality in the first place. Of course that only comes from experience with most of their average cars and vans. I have never driven any of their very high end vehicles.
again...everyone gets their opinion, and so be it.
the 300 is actually one of the cars that the missus and i are considering for next year, depending on the price of the challenger. but we are considering srt8s...since getting to drive one in a closed circuit, ive been sold. ive had several charger rentals, and parts of the interior was cheap.

I'm not sure why you fellas keep poking at the GT's, it really has no affect on the discussion here. A Mustang is not a 300C, and it has no impact on anything whatsoever.
Hell, I don't even own a Mustang anymore. And when I did, I didn't exactly go around bragging it had the best quality in the world. So if we could put that behind us....
Ah, then that explains a lot. I'm sure that vehicle is not a representation of BMW's actual quality then, that's a relief.
