Sounds to me like your powerband shifted just slightly with the new mods. But that's known to happen with intake and exhaust work.

 

Yeah people have told me that the powerband shifted up slightly with the modifications, but how does that result in INCREASED performance gains? Wouldn't it just slow you down?

 

Because the lower your powerband starts the faster you are in it. With an H pipe it should have come down just a bit. When my car was stock the powerband felt like it was 2500 to about 4500/5000. Now that I have the X pipe and headers it is about 3000 and doesnt stop till I hit the limiter.

You are looking for performance you should have gone with the X pipe. H is just like a chrome intake... all show and no go! LOL
