after all this he said yea too bad I had to shift prematurally. When we asked him at what rpm he was shifting at he said Im not sure cuz I was looking at the boost guage. Then he said he was going get back on this highway/open road where we had just come from and see what rpm's he was at when he shifted. About 15mins later he calls my buddy thats riding with me and says he was shifting just before 6k, but who knows what the truth is.

Holy crap, what did he get his learner's permit 10 minutes before the race. Looking at the boost guage instead of the tech thats to funny.

yep he's a tool alright But this has been talked up so much at my job that I wont have to say anything next time we are all there, everybody else will take care of that for me, lol. He claimed that after 20-21psi he was boggin out, meaning the motor would die out for some reason. I dont know "that" much about those cars but buddy that was with me is practically a mechanic (in school studying auto mechanics) and he has been in the Evo with that guy before and he said it sounded like he was driving/shifting at the same points that he always has, regardless of any "bogging" out possiblitiy or whatever. So who knows
LOL what a reject! That's called fuel cut, but he should be able to run 22psi on an EVO. If not, for some reason, you justturn the boost to 20 instead of shifting early. Either way, you just don't race your car when it's cutting out/bogging, because it's fair game.

I bet he didn't have enough time to spool up when you guys went from a roll. Way to spank him. Get you some boost so you can let him know what happens when you boost a V8.

Haha yeah, you definitely only beat the driver in that one. Nice kill all the same, though.
