Im certainly not bagging on your because you drive a mitsubishi. I own two vehicles powered by mitsu motors (6g72, 4g63) and Im glad to see how well the new 3.8GT runs, but a high 13 second car is only going to beat a low 13 second car whenthe quicker of the two ispoorly driven.

So you have to understand the fact that your car is a 13.8 car, and Ls1 cars are faster than that in completely stock form, right? Also, any remotely well driven 05+ GT is going to also run better than 13.8...

These miraculous kills are all over the net...And sadly it's not just import owners....LS1 tech had some idiot that owns a LS1 T/A (his mods: a catback and upgraded brake rotors...Thats it) andclaimed a kill in a roll race with a C6.And then made the comment "Ithought Vettes were better than that"At first some of his fellow members gave him props. Then Me and some other knowledgable folks started crushing him with walls of flames....and now some of the guys that gave him props earlier are now questioning the truth of his story.......Point of the story goes..ppl need to be educated and should never base the performance of another car on a "one time racing experience"...Because the truth of the matter is there are more *****y drivers than there are good ones...

I made it a fact to make it apparent that he was talkng about SCHOOLING C6 vettes in a CRX.... I even made it apparent to tell him a C6 means 05+....

Some people just never learn. A few days ago a guy was asking me about my car. We started talking, and somewhere in the conversation he told me he'd have twin-turbos on his HondaDel-sol in a few months. Rrriiiiggghhhttttt..........
Thanks man! lol yeah i see this alover the web . i mean go to a civic forum and read about H22b's beating stangs and M3 aand all other cars.what ever i am always up for a good race and i will be at ROCKFALLS RACEWAY on April 15 for the opening tuner day. i would ask any of you to show up and if you are mostly stock i will run you. if i get beat i will take it like a man and give you your props. and it is a lot of fun, you guys could go and bash all the imports (most owners are a bumb ***).
and i think we are going to start UNI up this weekend your you guys in MN

look Mr. Eclipse, no offense intended but I think you are the typical guy in need of "elightenment". There is no crime or dishonor is being ignorant until you begin to make stupid claims.

Then a couple of posts ago, you said you can beat LS1s. Sorry fella. you lost me as a beleiver at that point.My 15 year old daughter with he learner's permit could drive an LS1 down the 1/4 in 13.5.The further your posts went the less credible you became.

however, i also run a civic site, and stuff like "my stock d-series beat a terminator" doesnt float. while there are guys with built, boosted cars, some in the 11s or close to 11s, there arent many, if any, BS stories that get more than a post or two. like this site, with its non-mustang owners, my civic site has a ton of non-civic owners...and the group as a whole keeps the crap to a minimum
well, here is what i do know..
my daily driver, stratus RT, has the previous 6g72 engine from the one found in his car. my car is 3.0L and 200 stock HP. ive seen a stratus RT coupe, with a manual transmission, header-back exhaust, cai, TB,good tires, t-stat, mounts, shifter, and a good driver mod run in the mid-high 14s. ive seen a similar car with a 50 shot break into the 13s...and a similar car with a 75 shot and stock auto trans also ran in the high 13s.
so figure, a lighter car, with 200 stock hp..plus the 50 shot for the manual trans...250 at the crank. then add for the headers (stock manifolds are very restrictive), and the rest of the little things, i dont see why the car wouldnt be making similar to the 263 bhp.
the new eclipse is a bit heavier, so figure that the extra weight offsets the bolt-on power...and you have two essentially equal cars...so thats why i think that his high 13s, well driven, are possible.
i also know that the pistons in the 2000-2005 6G72 struggled with shots as light as 50 shots, with a good tune, due to the low quality pistons. this is why my nitrous kit never went in...
