I watched the top one. And in all seriousness, that thing looked quick. But it looked like it had drag slicks on the front? and who knows who had what mods? I mean they look nice, and it beat a hi performance V8. So, I guess you proved your point

 

he did have drag radials in front and there is no real big mods out yet.cai,exhaust,pullys that is about it

i'd say that turbo and supercharger kit you mentioned earlier are pretty big mods.

 

i agree but i can asure you this car had niether, the 4g forum i am on as far as i know nobody has purchased the SC yet, i know they released it about 3wekks ago.

 

wow I didn't read all the reply's but, I had one at the dealership. I took it for a ride and there are quick especially from the crappy 200 hp model before this. I'd sport one as a DD.

 

i clicked on one video, and i saw the typical poor quality street racing at night videos that im used to see from people who dont have any real proof of anything.

a mach1 is a 305hp car, stock...i didnt bother to see what mods that eclipse had, but unless it has a bottle or boost, its not going to walk a mach1 like that...unless the mach1 driver is crippled.

this is why import drivers dont get any respect, because they simply dont deserve it. little johnny here finally got out of college and bought himself a pretty new eclipse, and unlike the previous eclipse, this one has 263 horsepower. so since little johnny is now the END ALL of racing knowledge, he is going to join a forum of mustang owners and educate us all.

your 263 horsepower, 3500lb eclipse wont keep up with an LS1, unless you found the SLOWEST ls1 car ever built. 13.8 no where near fast enough to beat a stock mach1, let alone a stock ls1 car. while i dont buy into the nonsense that every ls1 car built will run 10.85 stock, they are all well capable of beating a 13.8.

this is the only timeslip i can find only that is anywhere close to 13s. Im sure that there are faster ones, but not without some work..

i dont know why these kids dont understand that a high 13 second car can only beat a VERY VERY poorly driven stock low 13 second car. riding around and finding terrible drivers, then bragging about it makes you a ricer, and thats why most of the domestic car world has no respect for kids who get a car that is almost fast, who suddenly thinks that he drives a top fuel dragster.

 

My neighbor just bought a new eclipse. He thinks that thing is super fast and his teenaged son runs his mouth constantly about how fast it is. Went as far asto ask me ifI thought my04 cobra was as fast (he doesn't pick up on the absense of that tell-tale Eaton whine). I invited them to follow me to the strip one dayso we could find out just how lightning fast the thing is and I'd buy the beer...but there is always some reason why they can't make it. Amazing how a trip to the local strip can dish up such a large slice of humble pie! Oh well, ignorance is pure bliss...

I think I am going to go out and join random car message boards and dig up old threads about mustangs to brag about how fast mine is. I will feel really good after too
