the new srt10 08 model vipers now have 600hp....................insaine[sm=hail.gif]

 

they will...i dont think that they are available yet...but it definately makes the release of the "next z06" ( i dont think that there is an official name yet? ) that much more intersting.

I pissed off the guy in the viper i saw the other day, I told him my car was faster... he asked what i had (i was in a buddys car), and i told him a 03' Cobra stock, he said bs it's faster, and i told him to wait i live around the corner, he just said yea stock my as* and peeled out and left, lol...

Everyone i have seen SRT10 or GTS, have refused to run me... :-( my luck the one that won't back downwill be 1 of a few Hennesey Vipers i've seen around here, or the one with a 200 shot in the backseat, i saw at a carshow one day a while back, lol

 

amanda and i were out in her truck the other day (when it got up into the 70s) and we came up on an old guy in a red 1st gen RT10. she pulled up next to him and jokingly revved, figuring this old guy wouldnt pay any mind, but he started REALLY revving back...and when the light turned green, he didnt move until all of the cars in front of him were out away from him, and he let it rip...and it amounted to little more than a smoke show...he then rode next to use for a bit, and every once in a while he would shift, and jump on it, and spin the tires while rolling...i think that they are cool cars, and some day, i would like to find a 1st gen roadster, 94+.

 

I saw one back must be damn near 7 years... had a built motor in his with a HUGE turbo, and 2 big blue bottles in the back.. he had a picture of him at the track, with the time up on the board and his parachute deployed... lol... I can't remember what he ran unfortunatly... I just remember that picture with the parachute deployed, lol. I want to race him just to see how bad my *** in handed to me...

I always wondered if he really needed that stupid chute, because aren't the only ones that really need them the dragsters that run like 6's?? lol --- but that was definatly not a show car, trailor queen... and im sure a competition car.

 

Yeah they are mounted on my stock rims. I put less than 4,500 miles on the car in a year, so they should last for the year and into next. I hope. [8D]

 

most people see over 10k on em, so i think you should be fine with them.. im hoping to have mine for a while... ive had em on my DD since December...

but Dan, if you put that little milage on em - obviously its not your DD, why not put a better d/r on? like mickeys or BF's?

 

i dont really know about that...my car is trapping 106-107, and with drum brakes, i have a hard time getting it stopped...

i know what you mean though...i see 10-11 second cars with parachutes, and i wonder why...but at the viper meet, many of the "mod-viper" class had chutes, but none of them used them...i think that they have them for the tracks that have very short shutdown areas...maybe they have them because it looks cool...

dan, i think that it will be a battle of traction and drivers...
